A Scholarly Society Dedicated to Africana Receptions of Ancient Greece and Rome

PROS

Eos members come from numerous professional backgrounds and possess a vast array of skills. As we navigate life changes, career shifts, and an ever-shifting sociopolitical landscape, we can help each other develop new skills and hone pre-existing ones.

Interested in leading an online professionalization workshop for Eos members? Possible topics include (but are not limited to) grant proposals, cover letters, fellowship applications, and lesson plans or modules for K-12 and higher education curricula. Let us know who you are, the goals of your proposed session, and your intended audience (e.g., graduate students, K-12 teachers, junior scholars): be specific about what participants will create or develop during the workshop and what they will need to prepare in advance.

We aim to offer one workshop each year, alternating between topics most pertinent K-12 teachers or nonacademics and those most pertinent to university/college audiences.
